Joan Kane, 92 years of age, passed away on Saturday, May 6th, 2023 at her home surrounded by family.

She was married to the late Donna Kane on August 15, 1953. They spent the next 67 years together.

Joan was a devoted wife and mother of four daughters, Candy (Robert) Whitfield, Sandy (Gus Leigh) Kane, Cheri (Andy) Kuntz and Sue (Scott) Smith. Joan was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

You could always find Joan wearing her favorite color pink. Joan loved reading, especially her gossip magazines. She enjoyed thrift stores, flowers, game shows, pull tabs, puzzles, watching the birds and squirrels, playing bingo, or heading to the casino for the day. But most of all, she loved being with her family.

Joan was a saint, always patient and kind, she will be missed deeply by all who knew her.

Joan was preceded in death by her spouse, Donna Kane; Her parents, John and Hilda (Stull) Spang; Her brothers, Gerald (Donna) Spang and Thomas (Joan) Spang; And her sister, Choral (Robert) Watgen.

In lieu of flowers, the Kane family wishes are that they would just appreciate you becoming actively involved in the upkeep of our small communities.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry Street Sandwich, IL 60548. A graveside service will follow out to Millington-Newark Cemetery in Millington, IL. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Beverage Family Funeral Home.
