Joan King Obituary
COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Loretta Joan King of Cookeville passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday December 19, 2025.
She was the daughter of Dallas and Wilma Pritchett, and lived most of her life in Cherokee County Georgia with her 3 sisters (Bobbie, Ann, and Sue) and one brother (Donnie). She married her husband David King in 1965, had two boys, and built a successful career in Mortgage banking. She retired from banking in 2005 and moved to Bishopville, SC before moving to TN in 2019, after the passing of her husband David.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Wilma, husband David King, sisters Bobbie Burgess and Ann Burton, and brother Donnie Pritchett.
She is survived by her two sons Jeff and Gregg King, 5 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 15 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Sue Caylor.
