97, of Dana Point, California, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, surrounded by love and likely reminiscing about a fabulous meal or her next great adventure.
Born on September 22, 1928, in Mandan, North Dakota, Jo lived a life defined by family roots, kindness, and a zest for living. She loved to eat well, drink well, and travel the world, collecting stories, friendships, and unforgettable memories along the way. Stylish, spirited, and endlessly giving, she was the heart and matriarch of her family.
Jo’s greatest joy was her family, and she had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. Whether gathered around a table, giving a toast, or sharing stories, time with Jo was always filled with laughter, warmth, and connection.
She is survived by her two children, Karen and Steve, and five grandchildren Kayla, Sam, Lana, Julia, and Makena who will forever carry her love, wisdom, humor, and adventurous spirit.
Jo leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, grace, and a life beautifully lived. She will be deeply missed, always celebrated, and forever remembered.
