Ms. Joan Wade Mannis of Cartersville, age 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Joan was born on September 30, 1944, to the late J.T. and Estelle Wade, of Kingston, Georgia.
Throughout her adventurous, impressive life, Joan resided in several states. She loved to travel. While visiting many places in America and Internationally, she ultimately returned home to Bartow County.
Joan was an extremely hard-working, strong woman with many visions. She had several very successful careers.. from school teacher, telecommunications sales, real estate agent, trolly tour guide, tour bus owner and others. Joan was most proud of her ownership and success of The Governor's House, a former special events facility in Kingston, Georgia.
Joan fought long and hard against cancer for 14 years. She always maintained a positive outlook, and most importantly, she witnessed and kept her strong Faith in God.Faith Over Fear.
Joan will be fondly remembered for her strength, determination and elegance. She was admired for her courage and tenacity. Joan will be truly missed by her many special friends and loving family.
A special Celebration of Life will be held to honor and share precious memories of her remarkable life. Please join us on Sunday, November 3rd from 3-5 p.m. at Hillendale Clubhouse, 150 Old Mill Road, Cartersville.
