Joan Gail McFall, 85, of Gilbert, AZ passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2024. She was born November 28, 1938 in Gary, Indiana to her loving parents George Sr. and Florence Bellar. Joan attended Horace Mann School.
Her family will always remember her as someone who had immeasurable energy. Whether it was spending her time shopping, playing cards with the ladies in her community, catching up with her life long best friend, or just enjoying time at home with her husband and dog, Abby, she lived every day with joy.
Joan also loved her family unconditionally and cherished the many holidays and gatherings celebrated together over the years. Her true passion and gift was being a mother to her four daughters. Indeed, she lived her life with style, beauty, and grace. She will be deeply missed by so many.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, George Jr. and Lowell Wayne Bellar; the father of her children, Michael Walter; and their daughter, Michele Walter Irvin.
She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, George McFall of Gilbert; three children, Jacqueline Scartozzi (John), Kristin Benedetto (Scott) and Amy Bratsch (Kent); two stepchildren, Matthew McFall (Jennifer) and Beth Chapman. She also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Please join us in a celebration of her life on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 between 10:00am - 12:00pm at Falconer Funeral Home, 251 West Juniper Avenue, Gilbert, AZ. She will be laid to rest at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
Flowers are welcome or donations may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org.
