Joan M. Moore

Joan M. Moore, 77, of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, April 2, 2022, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born Aug. 29, 1944, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late John and Albina Janickovic Kwak. Joan was a graduate of the former Hurst High School. She was formerly employed by Krystaniak's Bakery and she retired from the Hauser Insurance Agency. She was a member of the Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant. Joan's favorite hobby was reading novels, particularly of the suspense thriller genre. Joan was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed romantic Lifetime movies. Joan was a devout Catholic and deeply religious. Joan will be forever missed by her family and friends. She is survived by one son, Devin Moore and his girlfriend, Jenna Fullem, of Greensburg; one sister, Rita Brandt, of Mt. Pleasant; five nephews, Stephen, Michael and John Prevenslik and Sean Brandt and Joseph Brandt and his fiance, Jessica Stairs. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Mary Ann Prevenslik. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in the Visitation Roman Catholic Church.
