Joan Morrison Obituary
Born in Moultrie, GA, Joan has lived in Perth Amboy her entire life. She is a Perth Amboy High School Alumna of the class of 1961. Joan worked as a Medical Receptionist for Dr. Marvin Mufson, retiring in 1993.
She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Q. Morrison Sr. They would have just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November 9th, 2024. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Anne (Taczy) and John Lucas, loving aunts Julia and Margaret Taczy, Helen Deverin, many other aunts and uncles, and her stepson-in-law Odie Malave.
Joan is survived by her beloved daughter Lisa and husband Robert Carfagno and cherished twin grandchildren Jennifer and Michael Carfagno. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Rebecca and Oscar Morante, stepchildren Kim Malave and Donna, Raymond, and David Morrison.
We begin to leave on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home at 9:15 am for a Divine Liturgy at 10 am at St. John's Orthodox Church. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Visiting will be held at Gustav J. Novak Funeral home in Perth Amboy on Monday, November 25th from 6-9 pm with a Panikhida Service starting at 6 pm.
