Joan Olszewski

Joan Olszewski, age 94, passed away December 20, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Thaddeus. Loving mother of Peter (Crystal) Olszewski, Mary Jo (the late John) Budzyn, Julie (Thomas) Kwiatkowski and Wendy (Timothy) Reedy. Dear sister of Charlene (the late Henry) Beaudry, Michael (Sally) Baltosiewich and Sandy (Paul) Lukasik. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren. Joan was preceded in death by her sister Clara (Richard) Glazewski and her sister-in-law Janice Baltosiewich. Joan is a retired teacher from the Romulus Public Schools. She was an avid golfer and also enjoyed singing and community theater. Joan was a life-long member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Wyandotte. A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Our Lady of the Scapular Catholic Church (Mt. Carmel) at 11am (instate starting at 9am with a rosary at 10:30am).
