Joan loved to travel and was especially moved by her trips to Africa. A warm and giving friend, she was always willing to help and to share with those around her. She was known throughout her neighborhood as she walked her dear friend and Golden Doodle, Buddy.
Beloved wife of the late John W. (Hodge) Palarino. She was also preceded in death by her father, Joseph F. Contosta, her mother, Jean A. Contosta, her brother, Joseph F. Contosta II, and her sister, Barbara Flanagan.
Service and Internment held privately by family. Arrangements made by Neely Funeral Home.

Every time I would see Joan as I walked my dogs around the neighborhood, she would always greet me with a big smile and a friendly hello, as her dog Buddy would wag his tail in delight. I will miss seeing Joan out and about. My condolences to her friends and family for their loss. With metta, her neighbor, Nina Alling.
