Joan A. Polsky, 89 years old, of Mount Ephraim, NJ entered into heaven, on Monday, August 14, 2023 at her home.
She was born in South Philadelphia in 1933 to the late, Joseph and Anna (McCann) Jones. Joan was raised in South Philly, in the Epiphany Parish section and raised her family there until moving to Mt. Ephraim, NJ in 1968.
Joan lost her beloved, Morton John Polsky in 2005, John and Joan led an interesting life, loved the holidays and spending time with their family. Holiday dinners were important to her. The preparation, cooking, decorating and hosting were enjoyed by all, at their home on Lincoln Avenue. Christmas was a favorite holiday and the family will miss these traditions. Furthermore, she loved the New Years Day parade, catching the Mummers on Broad Street in the city. Their trips to Las Vegas were epic, she would wait with anticipation with her sister, Eleanor for their ride and meet up with her brother, Joseph, who was a dealer in the casinos. Joan lived her life to the fullest and will be truly missed.
Besides her husband, John she is predeceased by her siblings, Eleanor Iannello and Joseph Jones.
She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her son, John Polsky and his wife, Donna, her daughter, Joanne Rongione and her husband, Ray, Her siblings, Nancy Kosma and Raymond Jones and his wife, Patty, her grandchildren, Jill Bonawitz and her husband, Bill, John E. Polsky and Ana-Maria Rongione, her great grandchildren, Ryan and Reese Bonawitz, her special cousin, Kathleen Rush, as well as, several nieces and nephews.
