Joan F. Raycher (nee Kuczynski), age 83, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024.
Cherished wife of Richard J.; beloved mother of Linda Colosimo (Jerry), Douglas (Lorra), and Karen Simko (David); devoted grandmother of Ashley (Dan), Dustin, Chelsea, Ha'aheo, David, Greg (Melissa), Jeff, Anthony (Alexis), Lauren (Mike), Jonathan and Dave (Leah); loving great-grandmother of Sienna, Jaiden, Talon, Louisa, David Jr., Everett, Ronan, Bennett, Norah, Claire, Ellie, Amelia, Joe and Gianna; and dearest sister of Leonard Kuczynski (Pam).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Mary (nee Zadrozny) Kuczynski.
She had attended St. Stephen's High School and had kept in touch with friends she'd made there her entire life. Joan was a member of St. Francis DeSales Church in Parma.
Joan loved to bowl and had enjoyed bowling with her family for many years. She also enjoyed "going for a ride" to the casinos, where her favorite part was the slot machines!
She also loved to dance and was well known for "composing" her own songs to sing to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren! She was a very social person, who would talk to anyone, anywhere and at any time, and there was truly no one who knew her, that didn't also love her and enjoy being around her!
She was best known as a woman who was deeply devoted to her vocation as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. Caring for her family was everything to her and she took pride in everything she did for them, particularly the way she enjoyed family gatherings! The home she so lovingly created and cared for was also open to all, whether family, friend, or visitor alike. She never turned anyone away, but graciously welcomed all who came to her door!
Her family was truly the center of Joan's world, and her proudest moment was this past Christmas when she was able to bring together 41 members of her family in her own home for a joyous holiday gathering!
Her sincere loving, caring and welcoming nature, truly touched all those she knew, and she will be deeply missed by all as well, especially her family!
