Charles Rhine Obituary
Cherished husband of 24 years to Christine (nee Stanley); beloved father of Renee Schiffhauer Meyers (Michael), Carrie Rhine Cook (Emmanuel), Christopher Rhine, Robert Schiffhauer, Angie Rhine Freeman, Sarah Rhine Waris (fiancé Christopher Dent), Tyler Stickel and Tiffani Hamilton; devoted grandfather of Zack, Heather, Jennifer, Jayden, Ezbjorn and Jovie; loving great-grandfather of two; and dearest brother of Charlene Rhine Dickens ; and dear uncle of Donnie, Brittany and Samantha.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. and Bessie Mae (nee Bathurst) Rhine, Sr.
Chuck was a highly skilled automotive modification specialist, whose career spanned over 50 years. He was also a racing fan and had owned his own drag racer in his younger years. His love of speed wasn't limited to cars, as he was also a motorcycle enthusiast!
He had enjoyed boating on Lake Erie in his youth, but in later life one of his favorite places to be was in his camper! Whether parked at a campground or driving to other states to enjoy the sites, his camper was his second home. He also became an avid corn hole player and loved to cook! Chuck was a loyal fan to the Browns as well as all Cleveland sports.
He was perhaps best known for his embodiment of the holiday spirit as he brought each holiday to life through his incredible lighting and pyrotechnical displays at both his home and at his seasonal campsite.
While Chuck was known as a quiet man of few words, he was also known for his quick wit and perfectly timed jokes. In his simple, sincere way he touched the lives of all who knew him and will be deeply missed by all as well!
The family would like to thank Holy Family Hospice and the Seidman Cancer Center for the incredible care and comfort they provided to Chuck and his family.
All services for Chuck will be private.
