Joan Audrey Rees, 92 of Western Hills, passed away on Sunday September 28, 2025. Audrey was born October 12, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Randall and Mildred Wolff (nee Keeler).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, her parents and her sister, Phyllis Halloran.
Audrey is survived by her three sons, John Christian (Ashley Nelson) Rees, Erik (Jennifer) Rees and Jeff (Deborah) Rees. She is the proud grandmother of Madison and Kaitlynn Rees.
She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was kind, giving, happy, enthusiastic, fun and generous, a person who made a positive impact on so many people.
Audrey was a teacher and director of the Creative PreSchool. She was a leader and a role model with the Glenmary Sisters, a volunteer at Tender Mercies, and a member of the Dunham Choraleers.
As an avid golfer, Audrey recorded 2 hole-in-ones. She was a league bowler, liked to dance and swim, loved long walks and going to the gym. That was her secret to staying young and fit. She was independent and liked to travel.
In lieu of flowers, in loving memory of Audrey, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be in the Gathering Space of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Friday, October 10, 2025 from 9:30 AM until the funeral mass at 10:30 AM. Burial services will be private.
