Joan Sandy Obituary
Born in Trenton NJ, she resided in Lawrence Township for over 30 years before moving to Hamilton Township NJ. Joan was a devoted parishioner of St. Raphael's Holy Angels Church. Her deep faith in God and love and dedication to her family guided her life. She was a source of strength, resilience, and love to others.
Joan had a tremendous and admirable work ethic. She worked for over 20 years and Educational Testing Service (ETS) in Ewing, NJ, and for many years at Shop and Bag and Shop Rite in Hamilton.
Joan enjoyed cooking Italian food. Gathering around the table as a family was especially important to her. She also enjoyed music, dancing, playing Bingo, visiting Atlantic City, and watching Wheel of Fortune.
She is predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Grace Calla Andrese, her brother and sister- in -law, Russell and Delores Andrese; her sister, Maria A. Andrese; her beloved husband, Frank W. Sandy Jr., her son-in-law, Kevin J. McManimon; and her grandson, John W. Guzikowski.
She is survived by her one brother, Joseph Andrese; her five loving children, Elizabeth Sandy, Joyce VanReymersdal and her husband, Joe, Donna McManimon, Maria and her husband, Sean, and Frank Sandy, III and his partner, Pamela Schiller; her seven treasured grandchildren, Regina Groesser and her husband, Brian, Billy VanReymersdal, Jessica Senger and her husband, Matthew, Joseph McManimon and his partner, Yan Chen, Samantha Toledo, Danielle and Renee Sandy; her five great-grandchildren, Carley, Christopher, Declan, Lyla, and Mason; and her many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the staff at Serenity Hospice in Hamilton and especially to her case manager and home care nurse, Ana.
Visitation for friends and family will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at St. Raphael R.C. Church, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton Twp, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.
