Joan Smith Obituary
Born in Easley, SC, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Annie Chappel Black.
Joan was a member of Pelham Road Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son Reggie Blackwelder; granddaughter Taylor Blackwelder; sisters, Joyce Holliday and Elizabeth Dickard; and step-daughter Denise Smith.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth Black and Russell Black, and step-daughter, Teresa Smith.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., in Graceland East Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pelham Road Baptist Church, 1108 Pelham Rd, Greenville, SC 29615.
