Joan Margaret Sprinkle, a loving and devoted mother, passed away on January 24, 2026, in Vincennes at the age of 81. Born on November 9, 1944, in Evansville, she lived a life characterized by unwavering dedication to her family and her community.
Joan dedicated 32 years of her life to American National Bank, where her commitment and hard work left a lasting impression on her colleagues and clients alike. Beyond her career, she was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church in Vincennes, where she nurtured her faith and forged meaningful connections with others.
Throughout her life, Joan exemplified love and devotion, particularly to her son, Stephen Milligan. She took immense pride in ensuring that he received a quality education, overcoming challenges that arose from his deafness. This dedication to his success remains one of her proudest accomplishments.
Joan is survived by her cherished son, Stephen Milligan and his fiancé Michelle Wolbers, and her sister, Sandra (Charles) Alms. Those who have passed before her include her parents, John and Margaret Lehman, and her son, John Milligan.
As we reflect on Joan's life, we remember her warmth, strength, and the profound impact she had on those around her. Her legacy of love and commitment will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
There will be a visitation Saturday January 31 from 4-7pm at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St, with a funeral service beginning at 7pm. Burial will be at a later date in Memorial Park. Goodwin-Sievers is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Joan and her family.
