Joan Marie Hradesky Tyger

July 14, 1948 – February 22, 2026

Surrounded by the love she so freely gave throughout her life, Joan Marie Hradesky Tyger was gently called home on Sunday, February 22, 2026, as the angels sang her to her eternal rest.

Joan was the cherished daughter of the late Margaret Plachko Hradesky and the late Frank Hradesky. Family was the center of her world, and she built her life around loving them well.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 52½ years, Keith Tyger, with whom she shared a lifetime of partnership and unwavering commitment. Together they created a home filled with love, warmth, and fond memories.

Joan was, above all else, a deeply loving and nurturing mother. She poured her heart into her surviving children - her youngest son, Daniel Tyger, and her only daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Jeff Hogan. Her love as a mother was steadfast, prayerful, and selfless. She carried her children in her heart every day, always placing their needs before her own.

Her greatest joy and proudest title was "Grammy." Joan absolutely adored her precious granddaughters, Haylee, Natalee, and Kimberlee Hogan. Being their Grammy was her delight and blessing. She treasured every hug, every smile, every moment spent with them. Her love for them was tender, intentional, and overflowing - the kind of love that leaves a lifelong imprint.

Joan was thankful for the gift of sisterhood and is lovingly remembered by her youngest sister, Marge Defino; her sisters-in-law Mary Hradesky, Lynn Tyger, Linda Cook, and Cynthia Tyger and her husband Joel Hersh; and her mother-in-law, Betty Jane Trexler. She also sends one final, heartfelt hug to her many nieces, nephews - including great and great-great - cousins, and dear friends whose lives she touched with her gentle spirit.

She was preceded in death by her beloved eldest son, David Tyger; her brothers C.J. (Butch) and his wife Pat Hradesky, and Jim Hradesky; her sister Gloria Hoch; her father-in-law Royden Tyger; her brothers-in-law Gregg and Gary Tyger, Mike Defino, and Dick Hoch.

Joan found deep solace in prayer, especially for those she loved. Her daily devotion to the Rosary was not merely a practice, but a calling. Through prayer, she carried her family, friends, and even strangers in quiet intercession. Her faith was steady, humble, and strong - a guiding light throughout her life.

A private remembrance will be held for her immediate family. In keeping with her wishes, Joan's cremation is under the direction of the DeGusipe Funeral Home & Crematory, 65 N. Gallatin Ave., Uniontown, Pennsylvania. A memorial service for extended family and friends will be announced at a later date.

In honor of Joan's nurturing spirit and love for children, memorial donations may be made to General G.C. Marshall Elementary School for the Outdoor Garden Project.

Joan's legacy is one of unwavering love - the kind that comforts, steadies, and endures. She will forever remain the heart of her family.
