Joan Weeres Obituary
Richmond - A private graveside service will be held for Joana Weeres, age 78, who died Sunday at Quiet Oaks Hospice House. Burial will be in the Sts. Peter and Paul Parish Cemetery.
Joan was born on August 9, 1941 in Watkins, MN to Art and Caroline (Yanish) Meierhofer. She married Roger Weeres on September 24, 1960 in St. Anthony Catholic Church, Watkins, MN. Joan worked at Animal Fair and B.I. in Eden Valley. She enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping in St. Cloud and gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Roger; children, Denise (Jeff), Paula (Ray), Kevin (Carolyn), Brian (Joy), Todd (Joanne) Weeres; siblings, Arliss (Rich) Stenger, Juanita (Don) Arens, Elaine (Dave) Leither, Ronnie (Diane) Meierhofer; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Meierhofer and her twin sister, Janice Meierhofer.

joan was always such a joy to be around. She always took such good care of Roger and had such a great sense of humor. Always enjoyed having them come into the clinic (CMFA). My deepest sympathies to you Roger and your family. She will be greatly missed.

Our Symphathies to the Weeres families. Joan will be missed by many, Her sense of humor is to be cherished. I worked with her at Animal Fair for a bunch of years. She and I were on the same line, I taught her how to tie those ribbons. She would bring up yet about those ribbons every time I saw her. Keep tying those ribbons in Heaven Joan. Love You!

I'll miss your humor, the fact that we grew up together. The fun times we had even in high school. Although we lived a distance apart and not seeing each other much In later years I would think of you once in a while and smile to myself. Rest peacefully.
