Joan C. Welsh

Age: 90 of Cherry Hill, formerly of Haddonfield
(née McCrosson) Passed away on January 27, 2025. Joan was a devoted wife of the late Joseph L. Welsh for 67 years. Mother to Donna (Kevin) Welsh-Johnson and Christine (Gilbert) Welsh-Buchanan, and proud and loving grandmother to 4 grandsons, Kevin Johnson, Stephen Johnson, Matthew Buchanan, and Tyler Buchanan.
As a resident of Haddonfield, NJ, she was a parishioner for many years of Christ the King Church. An avid bridge player, she was actively involved up until her death in organizing a bridge group that met weekly at the Haddonfield Mabel Kay Senior Center. As a military wife for many years, she enjoyed living abroad before returning to the USA. A lifelong traveler to countries near and far, she happily accompanied her family and grandchildren on excursions throughout the world.
Aways a passionate animal lover and loving owner of both cats and dogs, she actively supported several animal rescue organizations throughout her life and was always willing to provide care and sustenance to an animal in need.
She will be missed by all who knew her as she was a loving mother, caring and devoted grandmother, and good friend to those who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet Joan's family on Friday, January 31st from 10 – 10:45 am at Christ the King R.C. Church, 220 Windsor Avenue, Haddonfield, NJ. Her funeral mass will immediately follow at 11 am. Interment is private.
