Joan A. Wolinski

Joan A. Wolinski of Millsboro, DE, age 87, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 11, 1932 in Nanticoke, PA to the late Joseph and Rose (Ferrance) Wrublewski. Joan grew up in Warrior Run, PA and worked at the sewing factory in Nanticoke, PA. In 1957 she married William Wolinski who was from nearby Glen Lyon, PA. After they were married, Joan became a homemaker, raising her children, five boys and one daughter. The family lived in PA until 1967, then the family moved to Delaware where she lived for the next 53 years. She enjoyed cooking Polish food for the family, especially during the holidays, and spending time with her grandchildren. Joan found her greatest joy in her Catholic faith, and spending time with her family. Joan is survived by five sons: William Wolinski and his wife, Claire of Middletown, DE, Paul Wolinski of Millsboro, DE, James Wolinski and his wife, Kathleen of Newark, DE, Daniel Wolinski and his wife, Katarzyna of Long Valley, NJ and Steven Wolinski and his wife, Shirl of Kenton, DE; daughter: Marie Politakis and her husband, Brian Lockwood of Millsboro, DE as well as 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, William Wolinski as well as her 5 sisters and brother. Services for Joan will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will also be held privately at All Saints Cemetery in Newark, DE. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you pray for Joan and her family.
