Joanie Kish was a kind, loving individual who passed away peacefully with her daughter Leah Kish by her side on Friday, January 27, 2023. After many years of working at NEBS, Joanie returned to school to become a medical assistant in order to give back to the community that provided her with a great deal of support while battling breast cancer.
Being a survivor of breast cancer, Joanie began her career as a medical assistant with Dartmouth Hitchcock in Nashua then worked at Dartmouth Cancer Center. After several years at Dartmouth Cancer Center, she took a position at the Radiation Center of Greater Nashua for eight years where she welcomed each patient into the center making them feel comfortable. Outside of work, Joanie also spent time giving back to organizations that helped support individuals battling cancer.
Joanie treasured time with her family. Every June, she and her sisters would enjoy a weekend away in Ogunquit, ME. They would walk along the Marginal Way, spending time on the beach, shopping, and enjoying each other's company.
Joanie savored spending time with her grandchildren by snuggling up on the couch to watch a movie, playing silly games with them, or watching them play. Her grandchildren loved Sunday afternoons because Nana would bring croissants for lunch or other treats. Sunday dinners were also special for Nana, as her grandkids would tell her stories and the family would chat about the past week and what they were looking forward to.
Joanie is survived by her daughter, Leah Kish; son-in-law Andrew Pappas; father John Gigliotti; sisters Florence Beeson and Maryann Little; brother Charles Gigliotti; grandchildren, Xander Pappas, Ainsley Pappas, and Ronin Pappas. Joanie was predeceased by her mother, Joan Rice and brother, Tony Gigliotti.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond, NH.

To Joanie´s family,
I am so very sorry to hear about Joanie! When I was going through radiation, Joanie was the first person I saw, everyday, for 6 weeks. She always had a friendly smile and put me at ease with her easy conversation. I´ve thought about her through the years and was so thankful that she always took a bit of anxiety away. She had a big part of my healing, mentally and emotionally! She will always be in my prayers and my heart!
