Joann Akers

Joann Akers, age 64 of Harold, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Kentucky. Joann, a homemaker was born March 5, 1960 in Pikeville, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Luther & June Rogers Akers. Joann loved going to church. She was a member of the Harold Church of Christ. She also loved spending time with her family and friends and fur babies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 3 sisters: Wilma Frasure, Justine Akers & Genist Akers; Brother: Hurley Akers. She is survived by her Niece: Greta Frasure of Harold, Kentucky and 2
Fur babies: Trixie Lee & Dixie Lou. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 3, 2025 from 5:30pm-9pm at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 11am at the funeral home with Sean Jervis officiating
Burial will follow at Robert Hall Cemetery, Galveston, Kentucky
