JoAnn Louise DeVore passed away suddenly on November 25, 2022. She was born on December 7, 1955, in Decatur, Illinois. JoAnn married the love of her life, Gary Lynn Devore on November 11, 1976. She was a loving wife, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family deeply and especially adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
JoAnn worked in the restaurant industry for over 40 years, and retired in 2020. She loved serving and making friends. She is loved by so many family, friends, customers, and anyone that was blessed to had met her. She had a special kindness, love and gentleness, like no other, that touched so many lives, in such a special and unforgettable way. To know her, was to love her. We, and so many others, will always love her. A true angel, and woman of pure faith and God. She had a heart of gold and there is no doubt that she is now walking in those streets of gold. She will always be deeply missed by so many. We are forever thankful and grateful for her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Gary, three children, Terri, Larry, and Deberah (Casey), 8 grandchildren, Seth, Haley, Alyssa (Zak), Kaley, Connor, Addison, Caelyn and Carson, 4 great-grandchildren, Braxton, Alaia, Oliva, Layelah, stepfather Carl Cook, 3 brothers, Bob, Greg and Richard, and sister, Vicki, mother-in-law Lois Stephens, sister-in-law Charlene, brother-in-law Thomas (Barbara), and many nieces and nephews.
