JoAnn Hajimihalis age 78, of Berlin, Maryland passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, in Salisbury, Maryland. Born in Washington D.C. she was the daughter of the late Robert Francis Payne and Mary Krithis Veizis.

She is survived by her children, Dina Hajimihalis, Louis Victor Hajimihalis, Nicholas Robert Hajimihalis and, grandchildren Kiley Faith Hajimihalis and Braden Nicholas Hajimihalis, sister, Kitsa Lee, niece, Maria Elena Lee and nephew, Zachary William Lee. She also leaves behind many cousins, co-workers, and friends.

Raised in Bethesda, Maryland, JoAnn graduated from Bethesda Chevy Chase High School in 1965. Before marrying the late Victor Hajimihalis and raising her three children, she was secretary for St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Washington, D.C. After moving to Ocean Pines, Maryland, she attended St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean City. JoAnn is remembered by family and friends as being kind and vivacious.

A funeral service will be held for JoAnn on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 11am at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 8805 Coastal Hwy, Ocean City, Maryland 21842. There will be a visitation time for one hour prior to the service from 10am to 11am. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Berlin, Maryland. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean City, Maryland. Arrangements are in the care of The Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin, Maryland. Condolences may be shared with the family via www.burbagefuneralhome.com.
