JoAnn Holm

JoAnn Holm was a wonderful woman; everyone that met her loved her. There was a kindness and compassion that she always showed to everyone. Those closest to her got to experience the warmth, love, sense of humor and laughter with JoAnn. She loved her flowers and couldn't wait till spring to get to the local farmers markets and garden center to pick out flowers and plants for her yard. JoAnn always took pride in whatever she did, from making the best baked goods, to crafting unique items to sell at the local bazaar. She loved garage sales and estate sales, and she never met a gift shop that she didn't like. She attended Southlake Church in West Linn, and loved every Sunday that she got to go and listen to her favorite Pastor, and sing to the music. JoAnn was one of a kind, and we will all miss her. JoAnn was born in Albany, Oregon in June 1931, to her parents George Myers and her mother Martha Myers (Wagner). She was a sister to brother Richard Myers and Sister Marjorie McCoy. She grew up in a loving family; growing up she loved to go roller skating with her brother and was a very good skater from stories we have heard. Having five children kept her busy. She also worked outside the home but always had time to go watch a wrestling match of her boys, baseball game, and her daughters many dance recitals. JoAnn was very creative and was a wonderful cake decorator; all of her children, and grandchild and nieces got a cake decorated by her. Made famous and always requested was her chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and icing. She also made the most beautiful roses from the peanut butter icing. JoAnn was a very giving person, and doing for others is what made her most happy. Loving Wife to William Holm they shared 49 years of love with each other. JoAnn was a wonderful mother to five children; Jack, Randy, Ric, Ron and Susan. Amazing Grandmas to Sarah, Jason, Rhonda, Brandee, Rachel, Marcy, Tommy, Jason and Kyle. Was a perfect mother-in-law to Kris, Cindy, Jeannie and Bill. Best great grandma to Kohl, Hannah, Samantha, Alexcia, Randyn, Wynter, and Dawson. Was a wonderful aunt to Sherry, Tracy, Ashley, Charles, Tyer, Leanne and Michelle. And the greatest friend to ALL! A private Celebration of Life service will be held June 11 at 1:00PM with a potluck to follow so bring your favorite dish, it will be at the Shadowbrook Mobil Home Club House in Clackamas, Oregon. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the American Cancer Society.
