Richard "Rick" Holm

Richard "Rick" Holm, residing in North Liberty, IN, passed away at 12:11 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2025, in his home surrounded by the love and care of his wonderful, loving family. He was 81 years old. He was born July 17, 1944 in South Bend, a son of the late Carl & Emma

(Barbknecht) Holm and has remained a lifelong resident of this community.

On July 17, 1965, in South Bend, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Sharyl J. "Shari" Fenske. Together, they enjoyed 55 years of marriage until her passing on June 9, 2020. He is survived by his four daughters, Christi Holm, Cindi (Will) Pedersen, Michelle (Chris) Feller, and Kelly (John) Shaida, along with eight grandchildren, Paul, Emily, Joshua Pedersen, Padrick and Sydney Feller, and Kate, Brooke, and John Shaida IV. He is also survived by his sister, Helen Berg, and three sisters-in-law, Sandra K. Newton, Bonnie Jo (Tom) Lehman, and Vicki (David) Treat. Along with his wife Shari, he was preceded in death by his sister Sharon Waldron.

Rick was a Greene Twp. High School graduate and served in the Army National Guard. He retired as Owner of Enyeart Electric Motor Service. He was very active at Camp Millhouse, a member of Greene Township Lions Club, and for many years was involved with Southgate Church and Grace Chapel. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and antiques. Most of all he loved being with his kids and grandchildren.

Services celebrating Rick's life will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at the Palmer Funeral Home, within the Palmer Community Complex, 601 North Michigan St., Lakeville. Rev. Bill Howell will lead the service. Graveside services and burial will follow at Sumption Prairie Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2 at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
