Four Oaks, NC: Ms. JoAnn Jackson Johnson, age 75, of Oliver’s Grove Road, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Wake Assisted Living in Raleigh. Funeral Services will be held-3:00 PM Friday, December 30, 2022 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Scott Betts. Burial will follow in Oliver’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Four Oaks.
Ms. Johnson was born on April 5, 1947 in Harnett County to the late Billy Earl and Eunice Gray Blackmon Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Curtis Johnson. Ms. Johnson was an in-home day-care provider for over 25 years. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and “Mommy Ann” to many young children in her care. Ms. Johnson was an active member of the Benson Center for Active Aging before her entering Assisted Living in 2018. She loved activities and traveling with the Benson Center for Active Aging and made the best banana pudding and chocolate pies. Ms. Johnson was a member of Oliver’s Grove Baptist Church in Four Oaks.
Surviving children are son, Jonah Johnson and wife, Cherie of Four Oaks; daughter, Lisa Valentino and husband, Joey of Benson; four dearly loved grandchildren, Ezekiel “Zeke” Johnson, Alycen Barbeau, Logan Valentino and Matthew Valentino; brothers, Mike Jackson and wife, Sherry of Oak Island, Kenneth Jackson and wife, Sue of Four Oaks; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:30PM to 2:45PM on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson prior to the service and other times at the home of Lisa and Joey Valentino.
In lieu of flowers; memorials may be made to Benson Center for Active Aging, c/o Debra Cardone, 1204 N. Johnson Street, Benson, NC 27504.
