Joann Lee Sayre Watson

Joann Lee Sayre Watson, 81, of Lexington, KY passed away Saturday December 6th, 2025.d She was born to the late Elmer C. Sayre and Annetta Sayre in Louisville, KY on June 16th, 1944. She attended and graduated from Henry Clay High School, she then went on to complete her nursing degree and was a nurse for over 20 years. Joann confessed her belief in Christ at an early age at the Maxwell Street Christian Church and then later became an active member at Gardenside Christian Church until her health limited her attendance. She loved serving the lord and helping others, just being a light in others eyes. Joann enjoyed music and dancing among other hobbies. She was known to some as "Jojo" and to others as "Josie." Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her sister Ann Sayre; her brother, Gene R. Sayre; her nephew David Sayre; and her son Mark Scott Watson. She leaves to cherish her memory, her nephew Bryan (Jaime Nichole) Sayre; her sister-in-law Mary Helen Sayre; sons-in-law, William Mason Emnett and Roberto Ungaro; and her companion David Shelton. Joann was loved and will truly be missed by her church family and friends.
