JoAnn Light

JoAnn Light, age 85, of Billings, Missouri went to meet Jesus, May 22, 2023. She was born September 23, 1937 in Wayne county, Missouri to Edna and Marvin Warren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Shirley Braden.
JoAnn loved working with children at church in the Awanas program and preparing Wednesday night meals. She was a member of the Road Church in Clever, Missouri. JoAnn retired from the University of Missouri S&T after years of service as a telecommunications manager.
JoAnn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Earl Jr. and Valinda Light; her grandson, Trey Light and girlfriend, Amber Umphress; and a granddaughter and her husband, Mariah and Samuel Woods.
She was our light and joy and a beautiful portrait of a loving, godly woman, mother and grandmother.
Her visitation will be Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 10:00-11:00 am at Greenlawn Funeral Home, North with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at Wade Chapel in Republic, Missouri. Condolences and fond memories may be left at this site.
