JoAnn McGlinn Obituary
JoAnn McGlinn, 84, passed away, with family by her side, December 26, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas. She was born July 13, 1940, in Bushton to Joseph & Rose (Huslig) Bieberle.
JoAnn married Thomas Harold McGlinn September 15, 1962, in Bushton. They built their life in Great Bend. He died October 24, 2015. JoAnn primarily worked taking care of the home and her children. She also was a secretary for Sheffler's automotive then the credit bureau. She put her culinary skills to work at the Columbus Club and served lunches to students at Jefferson Elementary school. She was a member of Prince of Peace at St. Rose Catholic Church and an Altar Society member. JoAnn had the gift of prayer and was a prayer warrior. Her faith was strong in seeing God move mountains. She enjoyed the outdoors and could be found finding peace in doing yard work.
Survivors include daughters Kim McGlinn and Pam Dahlstrom of Wichita; brother, Willis Bieberle and his wife Theresa of Great Bend; grandson, Branden Dahlstrom; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Bieberle; and beloved dogs, Chloe and Theo. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Thomas McGlinn; brothers, Clarence Bieberle and Omer Bieberle; sisters, Alice Jenisch and Dorothy Moeder; and son-in-law, Dennis Dahlstrom.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 2, 2025, at St. Rose Catholic Church with Father Aneesh Parappanattu presiding. Interment will follow at Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Bryant Funeral Home from Noon to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 1, 2025, with an Altar Society Rosary at 4:00 p.m., and a Vigil and Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Memorials have been designated to Good Shepherd Hospice or Prince of Peace Parish, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Road, Great Bend, KS 67530.
