In Loving Memory of JoAnn Morgillo - The Heartbeat of Our Lives

It is with profound sorrow and overwhelming sadness that we announce the passing of JoAnn Morgillo, who left us far too soon. The world has lost one of its brightest lights, and our hearts are forever broken. JoAnn, 66, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, surrounded by the love of her life, Susan, her partner of 44 years, and the warmth of those closest to her.

JoAnn was, in every sense of the word, a miracle among us - a rare and beautiful soul who lived with a heart so full of love and kindness that she made everyone around her feel like they mattered. She had the unique gift of seeing the good in everyone and every situation, and her unwavering love and support were a constant source of strength for all who knew her.

Her kindness was not just in words, but in her every action. She always put others before herself, ready to lend a hand, offer a listening ear or simply be present when someone needed her most. She had an incredible ability to make anyone feel safe and seen, and that was something truly extraordinary. She lit up every room she entered, and her laughter was contagious. Whether it was her infectious smile, her comforting hug or her gentle touch, JoAnn had the power to make everyone feel like the most important person in the world.

Musically gifted beyond words, Joann was an extraordinary drummer - her talent was a true reflection of her boundless energy, rhythm and soul. But it wasn't just her skill that drew people to her; it was her ability to connect with others, especially children. They were naturally drawn to her warmth and authenticity. They flocked to her, captivated by her loving spirit and the way she made them feel seen and valued. Her love for music was as deep as her love for people, and she shared both with an open heart and a gentle soul.

JoAnn's love story with her partner was one for the ages. Together for 44 years, they were a testament to the power of love, devotion and deep respect for one another. Their bond was a beacon of what true partnership looks like - steadfast, unwavering and deeply rooted in affection. Through all of life's challenges and triumphs, they stood side by side, and in the quiet moments, their love spoke louder than any words could.

Her circle of friends and family was nothing short of extraordinary - each person who had the privilege of calling her their closest confidante knew they had a friend for life. JoAnn was always there for her loved ones, with an open heart and a warm embrace, offering comfort and understanding in ways only she could. She knew how to make each person feel valued, heard and loved beyond measure.

To say JoAnn will be missed is an understatement. The world will never be the same without her. Her absence has created a void that cannot be filled, and yet, her legacy of love and kindness will continue to resonate with everyone who knew her. She was truly the closest thing to an angel we will ever know, and her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing her.

JoAnn is survived by her partner, Susan Cinquegrana, her sister Marylou Caputo and her husband Richard and their daughter Lauren Caupto-Sheridan and her husband Josh. Her family included her brother-in-law James Cinquegrana and his wife Dina and their two children, Matthew and Jena and a host of friends who will continue to carry her love in their hearts. Joann is also pre-deceased by her parents, Angelina (nee) Muzzo and Joseph Morgillo.

Her laughter, her hugs and her kindness will live on in each of us. The love she gave so freely will never fade, and though our hearts are broken, we know she will forever be with us, watching over us with her gentle spirit.

Rest in peace, dear JoAnn. You were, and always will be, sheer perfection.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton in JoAnn's name.
