Thomas Morgillo Obituary
Thomas D. Morgillo, 95, of East Haven, died peacefully on July 1, 2025, in Yale New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. He was the husband of Philomena Piccerillo Morgillo.
Tom served in the US Army and later worked as a sales representative for SNET for many years before retiring. He was also a barber for 75 years, better known to customers and friends as "Tommy the Barber." He was a lifetime member of the Santa Maria Maddalena Society and was a longtime fan of Ohio State University and the New York Yankees. One of his favorite things to do was to enjoy a big meal before the Ohio State v. Michigan game with his boys and his friends.
Tom was the father of Thomas A. (Debbie) Morgillo, Michael (Kathleen) Morgillo and Mark (Ross) Morgillo. Brother of the late Mary Guidice, Betty Germe and Raffaela Morgillo. He loved his grandchildren Louis (Lunzi) Morgillo, Christopher, Thomas Jr., Joseph (Danielle) and Michael (Sara) Morgillo, Jr., Jessica (Tom) Connelly and Amanda Morgillo and great grandfather to Carmen and Cole Morgillo.
Visiting hours will be Monday July 7th from 8:00-9:30 a.m. in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Woster Pl., New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial with military honors will take place in All Saints Cemetery. Thinking about all the great memories we made on Wooster St each July 3 & 4 AT THE SAME SPOT I WAS STANDING AT when I found out, is a certain sign that your spirit is hovering over us...
