Joann Ogden, age 83, of Blossburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Country Terrace Assisted Living in Wellsboro, PA. She was born on September 21, 1941, in Blossburg, PA, a daughter of Dean and Mary (Bowers) Warren. Joann was the wife of the late Jerome Ogden with whom she shared 58 years of matrimony before his death on February 21, 2025. She worked as an operating room surgical technician and was a member of the Blossburg United Methodist Church and its Friendship Circle. Joann was also a member of the Eastern Star, served on the board of the Bradford-Tioga Head Start program, as well as on the board of directors for Laurel Health Systems. She was a cub scout leader and very active in the Blossburg Memorial Library and the Mase Foundation.
Joann is survived by her son, Jerome "Jerry" (Samantha Wilcox) Ogden, II. of Mansfield, PA; daughter, Jennifer (James "Jim") Conniff of Naperville, IL; grandsons, Joseph "Joe" Tarszowicz and Patrick Conniff; brother-in-law, Paul Betts of Rock Stream, NY; several nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and -nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome, her parents, and sisters, Carol Betts and Betty Gregory.
Friends and family are invited to call from noon to 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the Blossburg United Methodist Church, 108 N. Williamson Rd., Blossburg, PA. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Candice Chase officiating. Burial will take place next to her husband in Arbon Cemetery in Blossburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joann's name to the Blossburg United Methodist Church, Bradford-Tioga Head Start, 5 Riverside Plaza, Blossburg, PA, 16912, or to the Blossburg Memorial Library, 307 Main St., Blossburg, PA 16912.
