JoAnn Plevyak

JoAnn Plevyak, 94, of Cortland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, in Trumbull County. She was born on August 2, 1931, in Warren, Ohio, to the late Eli and Mary Radanovich.
JoAnn was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Class of 1949. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker, she dedicated her life to raising her children and caring for her family. She married the love of her life, Howard M. Plevyak Sr., with whom she shared 58 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2008.
JoAnn spent several years assisting her husband's business as a bookkeeper, though her greatest joy and priority was being at home as a mother and homemaker. She enjoyed helping others, cooking, and cherished the simple joys of family life. JoAnn and her husband enjoyed going polka dancing together. She lovingly cared for many pets she loved and cherished, and treasured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren immensely. Her family remembers her as loving, generous, and deeply devoted to the people she cared for.
JoAnn is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Plevyak Sr.; parents, Eli and Mary Radanovich; and her sisters, Sandra Heflin and Irene Dellinger.
She is survived by her children: Deborah Gryp, Susan Drotar, Joni Bartoszek, Howard M. Plevyak Jr., Kim Kuiper, and Ken Plevyak.
Her cherished grandchildren: Jonathan Gryp, Daniel Gryp, Ryan Gryp, Lindsay Drotar, Chad Drotar, Connor Kuiper, Cole Kuiper, Sarah Plevyak, and Max Plevyak. She is further survived by her beloved great-grandchildren: Ashley Hutchens, Hailey Franklin, Logan, Dylan, Gavin Gryp, Reila Gryp, Kailani Gryp, Lily Ronci, Dominic Ronci, and Josephine Plevyak.
JoAnn's legacy of love, family devotion, and gentle kindness for all will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
