Moultrie, Georgia – JoAnn Stanaland Dean Tabor, 86, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 19, 2026, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Gary Holland officiating. Interment will be at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 PM, Monday, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Casketbearers will be Cole Jackson, Dillon Kent, Brenton Jackson, William Brand, Damion Johnson and Morgan Kenney.
Born November 20, 1939, in Worth County, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Henry Franklin Stanaland the late Ida Cleo Dukes Stanaland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Clyde Eugene Dean and Johnny Hailey Tabor; grandson, Ricky Joseph Brand; sister, Gerry Stanaland Allen; sons-in-law, Mark Allen Crane and Alan Lee Watson; and brother-in-law, Joel Ulmer.
Survivors include her children, Sharon Lynette Dean, Jeannie Tabor Crane, Cheryl Denice Kent and fiancé, Wiley Melvin Handley, Judy Watson and Scott Hailey Tabor; grandchildren, William Robert Brand, Matthew Dillon Kent, Kenneth Cole Jackson, Brenton Daniel Jackson, Sharon Ashley Bell Johnson and husband, Damion, and Breanna McKenzie Watson; great-grandchildren, Austin Johnson, Eden Brand, Addie Brand, Skyler Brand, Emmarie Kent; sister, Gail Stanaland Ulmer; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
She was a Manager at the Archbold Memorial Hospital Snack Shop for many years, had been a member of Victory Baptist Church since 2009, and enjoyed sewing, crafts, birdwatching and anything Elvis Presley.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Victory Baptist Church, 938 N. Pinetree Boulevard, Thomasville, Georgia 31792, or to Archbold Hospice, Post Office Box 620, Thomasville, Georgia 31799.
