Joanne Combs Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Memorial Alternatives on Feb. 18, 2026.
Joanne Combs, aged 77 of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away at her home on Sunday, February 15, 2026.

She is now reunited with her loving husband of more than 50 years, Terry Combs. Joanne was also preceded in death by her mother Margaret, sisters Nancy and Judy, and brother Rupert.

Left to remember her are her four loving children, Chantell (Patrick) VanBoven, Anthony (Kristy) Howe, Jason Combs, Jennifer (Kevin) Combs and so many special grandkids and great grandkids that she loved dearly.

Joanne worked as a nurse aide for many years at Saint Anne's Home. When she wasn't at work she enjoyed visiting the casinos, watching her Detroit Tigers, doing puzzles, watching game shows and the Hallmark Channel. But most of all, she loved spending time with family.

The family is planning a time to gather and remember Joanne at a later date. Please check back for information.

Do not weep for me.
I am not gone.
When you first rise in the morning
I am the warmth that touches your face.
I am the thousand winds that blow on windy days.
I am the raindrops that hit your windows looking in.
I am the autumn leaves that swirl at your feet.
I am the diamond that glints on the snow.
I am the soft stars that shine upon you at night.
So, when you want to cry, don't.
Just look around and see I didn't die.
