Sister Joanne (Margaret Joan) Dalton was born in Bloomington, Indiana, on June 4, 1932, and entered the Congregation of the Divine Spirit in Erie, Pennsylvania, on March 15, 1958. Sister Joanne taught at St, James and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel schools in Erie, and Assumption School in Geneva, Ohio. Sister also participated in all aspects of the care of the Aged at the House of Loreto in Canton.
Sister's parents, Carol and Thomas Dalton, preceded her in death; as did her brothers, Thomas and Phillip. Sister Joanne is survived by her community of Sisters and by her niece, Mary Ann (Robert) Green of Anchorage, Alaska.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Sister Joanne in the Congregation of the Divine Spirit Motherhouse Chapel, at 10:00 on Friday, September 19, 2025, with Fr. Nicholas Mancini officiating. Visitation will be for I hour before Mass.
