Joni Fleming, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away surrounded by her loving family on December 17, 2025, leaving a legacy of warmth, kindness, and joy that will be remembered forever.
Joni was born in 1944 in
Brooklyn, New York, to the late Walter Cornelius and Margaret Brosnan (Burke). She was raised in Brooklyn, where she was active in her church and loved playing cards and bingo. Early in her career, she worked as an executive secretary for Admiral Blick in the U.S. Navy. Later, she became a realtor in Long Island.
In Long Island, Joni had many close friends who were like family to her. Together, they shared countless wonderful memories-from lively parties to weekend dinners at her favorite spots, especially the Mermaid Restaurant.
Throughout her life, Joni lived in Brooklyn, Long Island, Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania, and Boynton Beach, Florida.
Joni was an extraordinary cook, and holidays at her home were filled with delicious food, laughter, and the special touches she brought to every celebration. At Christmastime, she transformed her home into a festive wonderland and made everyone who entered feel welcome and loved. Her ability to bring people together was one of her greatest joys.
She adored her husband, Tommy, and her daughter, Debbie, and loved her many dear friends deeply, always making those around her feel special. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and looked forward to her trips to Atlantic City, especially spending time at the slot machines. Her grandchildren-Christopher, Thomas, and Kelly-were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment with them. She also had a special affection for her dogs, particularly her beloved standard poodles.
Beautiful inside and out, Joni had an effortless sense of style and a radiant presence. She loved deeply and made every moment special. To know her was truly to love her.
Joni is survived by her devoted husband, Tommy Fleming; her daughter Debbie and son-in-law Chris; and her cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Thomas, and Kelly.
Her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were blessed to have known her.
Family and friends are invited to visit on December 23rd from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at The Olde Church of St. Andrew, 135 Sycamore Street, Newtown, PA. A funeral mass will follow. Interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
