Joanne Lewis Langley, 91, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. She was born in Calhoun, Georgia, on March 21, 1933, to the late Columbus “Lum” and Tessie Fox Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Raymond Langley; son, Lamar Brown; daughter, Susan Brown; brothers, Cecil Lewis and Hoyt Lewis; sisters, Glenda Lewis and Julia Lewis; brother-in-law, Marvin Mashburn.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Roxanne and Doug Johnston; sister, Sue Mashburn; grandchildren. Alex (Jason) Ray, Kimberly Johnston, Daniel (Angie) Brown, Michelle Brown; great-grandchildren, Jack and Logan Ray, Alexis (Jared) Nesbitt, Anna, Abigail, and Nathaniel Brown; great-great-grandchildren, Arizona and Katherine Nesbitt. She was a faithful member of South Calhoun Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons, with Rev. Daniel Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Jason Mullins, Jeremy Mullins, Cody Silvers, John Morgan Benson, Kelvin Brown, and Jason Ray. Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Lewis, Joe Pope, and Mike Pope.

The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Joanne Lewis Langley.
