Joanne St. Onge

Joanne Marie St. Onge passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lowell, MA, Joanne was the cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Rollins) St. Onge. She graduated from Chelmsford High School with the Class of 1973 and continued her education at Greater Lowell Vocational School, where she earned her LPN nursing degree. Joanne enjoyed crafting, traveling to the mountains and beaches up north, and taking long walks with her beloved dog, Sadie. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family and friends. She is survived by her significant other of over 25 years, Rick Proulx; her daughter, Kathryn Champion and her husband James of Kingston, NH; her sons, Michael Nelson and his fiancée Wendy McDonald of Groton, MA and Shawn Proulx of Merrimack, NH; her beloved grandchildren Austin Stankiewicz, Breanne Archambault, and Violet and Liam Sands; her sisters, Mary Ellen Fauvel and her husband Roger of Tyngsborough MA and Susan (Proulx) Marshall and her husband Bob of Wilmot, NH. She is also survived by her nieces, Lynne, Vicki, Danielle and nephew, Joseph; and her dear friends, Pauline and Ed. Joanne was predeceased by her sister, Patricia Henderson and son, Nicholas Proulx. FUNERAL NOTICE At Joanne's request, all services will be held privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, any expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to your local humane society.
