JoAnne "Tenny" Reffalt

A celebration of life for JoAnne Reffalt, 88, will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Friday, September 19, 2025 at the Lake Guernsey VFW Post #4471 in Guernsey, Wyoming.

JoAnne Reffalt passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at her home near Guernsey.

JoAnne was born on Tuesday, February 2, 1937 in Torrington, Wyoming the daughter of Robert James and Maxine (Lane) Tenny.

JoAnne was reared and educated in the Guernsey-Sunrise schools. She went to work for the United States Postal Service and worked as the postal clerk and finished her GED. JoAnne proudly took the job as the post master until the time of her retirement. She met Alvin Dennis "Tootie" Reffalt in high school. They later married on January 25, 1955. They made their home in Guernsey and they bought the farm/ranch in 1962 and have called it home ever since. JoAnne shared many meaningful years working the ranch with Tootie. JoAnne was very active with her children following them around while they rodeoed and did various sporting activities. She then continued following her grandchildren in all their sporting activities while having popcorn and peanut M&M's in hand. JoAnne deeply cherished her community.

Some of her hobbies included cows, kids, and sewing.

She is survived by her children, Bill (Jennifer) Reffalt and Tammy Reeves; daughter-in-law, Cody Reffalt; grandchildren, Billie Jo (Charlie) Stoneking, Scott Fleck, Kyle (Jordan) Fleck, Jessica Reffalt, and Colter (Melissa) Reffalt; eighteen great grandchildren; and her best friend, Martha Joecks along with countless other great friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tootie Reffalt on June 7, 2007; son, Dennis Reffalt on April 6, 2013; son-in-law, Ken Reeves on March 13, 2020; granddaughter, MacKenzie Reffalt on October 21, 2008; and great grandson, Corbin Reffalt on May 6, 2011.

A memorial to the Lake Guernsey VFW Auxiliary, P.O. Box 779, Guernsey, Wyoming 82214 would be appreciated by the family.
