Joanuna Bickham Obituary

Visit the Serenity Funeral Home LLC - Kansas City website to view the full obituary.

Joanuna Fuller (Bickham) was born January 7, 1980, in Kansas City, Missouri to Angela Sanders (Allen) and had one sibling Thressy Fuller (Jones). On Wednesday September 3, 2025, God called Joanuna home to be with her heavenly family. Joanuna has joined her great grandparents Mattie and James Kidd, her aunts and uncle, Markeyla Butler, LaTonya Wright, and Lee Sanders.

Joanuna entered this world with fire in her soul she was born with an agenda. Joanuna was a strong and private woman that had a natural gravitational pull. People would flock to her, and she could blend into any crowd naturally. She embraced life and took every opportunity to live life to its fullest. If you knew Joanuna then you knew she was stubborn, and strict about being on time. If Joanuna told you she was going to do something she kept her word. She believed in loyalty.

Joanuna grew up in Des Moines, Iowa and graduated from North High School in 1998. She moved on to receive her bachelor’s degree in medical administration. Joanuna strived for greatness in everything that she did and believed that there was always room for self-improvement. At the age of 22, Joanuna met Terry Bickham (Pelo). They got married in 2006. Joanuna gave birth to Terry Lee Bickham Jr. (PJ) on August 29, 2002, and became a mother to Martavice Bickham. Joanuna's children were her everything and everything she did was for them.

Joanuna took pride in being a mother to Terry Bickham Jr. (PJ) from the time he was a child to a young adult. She was not only a great mother to PJ but his best friend and everything.

Joanuna was an amazing daughter, mother, wife, sister, cousin, and friend. She wore many different hats and all of them were a true extension of who she was. Joanuna treated everyone in a way where you knew you were loved and valued. If you carried the label friend, then you know in Joanuna's eyes you were also family. Joanuna showed up and showed out for her family and friends. Whether it was business ventures, sports games, tea parties, graduations, or just last-minute plans, Joanuna showed up. Joanuna kept her family close and checked on them daily even amid her own storm; she was always concerned and providing for someone else. Joanuna was the most selfless person that any of us could have known, and we were all truly blessed to have had the time we had with her. Joanuna not only opened her heart but her doors to those in need.

Joanuna leaves behind her grandmother Verneice Nelson, her mother Angela Allen, her sister Thressy Jones, son Terry Bickham Jr. (PJ), her husband Pelo Bickham, and a great deal of cousins, great aunts, great uncles, and friends.
