He cherished running around outdoors with his older brother and sisters, and particularly enjoyed swimming and jumping into the hot tub. Joaquin is survived by his mother, Marisa Hernandez; his father, Juan Mendez; his brother, David; and his sisters, Jayde, Jamie, and Catalina.
Papas was the happiest little boy, always smiling and laughing. He loved everyone and made sure they knew it. Joaquin also deeply loved his Nana Shawn, and Tata Jason, and Uncle Henry as well as all his aunts-Adrienne, Mariah, Amber, and Aaliyah-and all his other tia's, uncles and cousins. His big, beautiful smile will be deeply missed every day.
