West Hartford, Connecticut. Nacido en La Romana, República Dominicana, el 18 de enero de 1931, de los difuntos Ernestina Mota y Joaquín Ortiz, llevó el cálido espíritu de su tierra natal durante toda su vida, contagiando alegría y risas allá donde iba.
Joaquín fue predececido por su amada esposa María A. Martínez "Sensa", su querida y dedicada abuela Julia Mota, su madre Ernestina "Tina" Mota, su padre Joaquín Ortiz, sus queridos hijos Ramón A. Mota Martínez y Radamés A. Mota Martínez, su nieta Ingrid Y. Mota Mejía, su hermana Oliva Ortiz y hermano Freddy Ortiz. Joaquin was predeceased by his beloved wife María A. Martínez "Sensa", his cherished and dedicated grandmother Julia Mota, his mother Ernestina "Tina" Mota, his father Joaquín Ortiz, his loving sons Ramón A. Mota Martínez and Radamés A. Mota Martínez, granddaughter Ingrid Y. Mota Martinez sister Oliva Ortiz and brother Freddy Ortiz. His memory is a treasure kept alive by his daughter Mary and her husband Santo, his son Manuel and wife Margarita, his daughter Fiordaliza and husband Jhonny, his daughter Angela and husband Andris, his daughter Norvia, his son José and wife Yahaira, his daughter Mercedes and son Nelson "Nelo".
