Jocelyne Louise Hill, born on April 29, 1946, in St. Savine, France, peacefully departed this life on November 11, 2025, in Waynesville, North Carolina. She was 79 years old and surrounded by the love of her family as she entered her eternal rest.

Jocelyne was brought to the United States at the tender age of two, where she settled in Toledo, Ohio. It was there that she grew up and pursued her education in nursing. Throughout her career, she worked for many years with Lehn & Fink in Toledo before making a significant move in 1993 to Waynesville, NC. There, she established her own notary and shipping company, which reflected her enterprising spirit and dedication to her community.

A devoted member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Jocelyne’s life was characterized by her kindness, generosity, and selflessness. Her faith was an essential component of her character, and she was known to be religious, Godly, and holy. Jocelyne had a unique ability to nurture those around her, endlessly caring for her family and friends while spreading warmth and love.

Her hobbies included cooking delicious meals for her loved ones, reveling in nature by admiring trees, and enjoying the peaceful sounds of music. Above all, she cherished the relationships she built throughout her life, and her bond with her family was profound. Jocelyne’s beloved dogs, Cookie and Cali, were also a significant part of her happiness.

She is survived by her daughter, Angie Hill of Waynesville; her son, Robert Bowling (Kim) of Zebulon; her sister, Nancy Ferguson (Terry) of Waynesville; her brother, Larry Willhite (Wendy) of Palm Beach, Florida; her grandchildren, Christopher Hill, Anthony Finney, Carly Hill, and Lacey Hill all of Waynesville, Ashlyn Bowling of Zebulon, and Travis Wood of Waynesville; her niece, Brittany Willhite; and her nephew, Kyle Willhite. Jocelyne's family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Wesley Willhite and Paulette Barbier Willhite; her husband, Charles Edward Bowling; and her brother, Jimmy Willhite.

A memorial service to honor the life and legacy of Jocelyne Hill will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Waynesville, at a date to be announced at a later date.

Jocelyne Louise Hill will be remembered as a pillar of love and strength for her family and community. Her legacy of kindness and devotion will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
