Jodi Lynn (Brown) Albert, deeply loved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and devoted dog mom, passed away on November 8, 2025. She will always be in the hearts of many, especially her son Ben, who was her greatest joy. Born on July 1, 1959, to Betty (Sass) and Robert Brown, Jodi grew up in Buffalo City, Wisconsin. She graduated from Cochrane–Fountain City High School in 1977. Early in her career she worked in the office at Winona Knitting Mills and modeled for the company’s catalogs, billboards and newspaper features. In 1984 she moved to Burnsville and in 1987 married Ned Albert. In Burnsville, Jodi was involved in the community and church. She was happiest surrounded by friends and family, hosting impromptu neighborhood parties and elegant family dinners. In 1995 Jodi and Ned welcomed their son Ben, who became the center of her world. She supported Ben’s talent in swimming, volunteered with his swim club and traveled to meets all over the country. Jodi retired from her job as an office manager in the early 2000s. In 2023 she and Ned divorced. She moved back to Buffalo City and built her dream home. She was just settling in and enjoyed living close to her sister and brother again.
Jodi loved animals, and she delighted in the companionship of her dogs—Kippy, Bell, Lenny, Sparky, Riley, Rex, and Enzo—each one holding a special place in her heart. Jodi is survived by her beloved son Ben, along with Sydney Dolan and their soon-to-arrive daughter, Allison Jodi Albert, who will carry her name forward. Her stepdaughter Melissa Albert (husband Marcus Manley and granddaughters Kate and Hazel), her brother Terry, her sister Vicki (Ritch) Jacobson, her nephew Chris (Stephanie) Jacobson, and her great-niece Lainey. Jodi will be remembered for her humor, her kindness, and the deep love she had for her family and dogs. Her memory will forever be held close by those who knew and loved her. Jodi is preceded in death by her parents Betty (Sass) and Robert Brown.
