Jodi E. Sliwinski

WATERFORD Jodi E. Sliwinski, 49, of Hillview Ave. passed away Friday October 17, 2025 at Westchester Medical Center. Born in Troy she is the daughter of Paul and Margaret Richardson Schmidt of Brunswick. She was a 1993 graduate of Tamarac-Brittonkill Central School.
Jodi was an automobile sales associate at several dealerships in the area, including Dealer Track in East Greenbush, Goldstein in Albany and Carbone in Troy.
Jodi was a communicant of Grace Episcopal Church in Waterford. An animal lover, Jodi was a member of the Rensselaer County 4-H. She enjoyed garage sales, craft fairs, bowling and traveling to the ocean. Her greatest enjoyment however, was time spent with her family and pets.
Survivors in addition to her parents include her devoted husband, Joseph J. Sliwinski and her loving daughter Lillian L. Sliwinski. She is the beloved sister of Kristina Schmidt of Poestenkill, Brenda Sheridan (Keith) of Virginia, Stacy Film (Bill) of Cropseyville, Susie Thouin (R.J. Hyson) of Troy, Dana Bass (David) of Rexford and Kim Kermani (Kevin) of Averill Park. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as her beloved canine companions Bear and Winnie.
Funeral services will be Friday at noon at Philip J Brendese Funeral, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Poestenkill.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 10 am – noon prior to the funeral service.
In honor of Jodi's bright spirit, we encourage guests to wear their most colorful attire as we celebrate her life.
Jodi was an organ donor and would suggest others consider doing the same.
