Jodie Benjamin Delbridge, Jr., 77, of Halifax, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024 in his home. Mr. Delbridge was born in Portsmouth, VA, the son of the late Emma Wood and Jodie Benjamin Delbridge, Sr. and he was the widow of the late Joyce Delbridge. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Wendy Seuis.
Surviving include his daughter Heather Delbridge (Bill), his son Shane Delbridge (Karen), his step daughter Cindy Biggles (Mitch), his step son Ronald Todd, his siblings: Cathy Ballero (Tommy), Jeff Delbridge (Sharon), Tony Delbridge (Susan), Keith Delbridge (Mary), Bill Wood, John Wood, Donna Wood, and Shirley Holt, his grandchildren: Meagan Patterson (Michael), Joshua Delbridge (Jaime), Christian Delbridge, Emily Simmons, Amber Patterson, Danielle Shaw, Heather Patterson, Joshua Seuis, and Little Ricky, his great grandchildren: Addy Bissett, Owen Scott, Liam Delbridge, and Lathan Delbridge, his good buddies Ed Noble, Doug Seuis, and Tommy Canon, many special nieces and nephews that would come by and spend time with him, his former wife Janet Carson, who has aided in his care during his sickness, and his two grandpets, Turbo and John.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service will Rev. Jeff Haslip officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM, and at other times at their home. Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.hockadayfs.com.
