Jodie C. Jaffe

Born in Waterbury, CT Jodie Jaffe (maiden Namnoum, married Ingalls) passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2026 at age 68. She is preceded in death by husband David Jaffe and her loving father, John James Namnoum. After a brief health event in October 2025, Jodie was making tremendous strides in her recovery. She will be deeply missed by all who love her. She is survived by her mother Lucille Namnoum, sisters Debbie Namnoum and Karen Sack, brother-in-law Stephen Sack Jr., brother Dr. Jim Namnoum, many nieces and nephews, daughter Amanda Canales and her husband Jose and their children Ava, Bryce and Damian, as well as daughter Lauren Ingalls, partner Reggie Loosemore and their children, McKenzie, Tucker and Tanner in addition to many loving friends and relatives.
Jodie's life was defined by her role as Mom and Nana. Fiercely loving and loyal, Jodie was our children's greatest cheerleader. Our Nana was known by her ability to show up for her grandchildren no matter what, including concerts, birthday parties, school events, Grandparent Days or just swinging by with a Target drive up order. She especially loved watching our kids at swimming lessons saying how much joy she got reliving her School of Swimming days now with her Grandchildren. Jodie had a love of fashion and was a talented Sales Manager at White House Black Market in Glastonbury, CT. She had unmatched work ethic and loved the relationships she formed with her coworkers. We will remember our Mom's love of shopping with her granddaughter McKenzie in Newport, spending pool days with Amanda and all of her favorite snacks, troubleshooting electronics and anything needing a fix with Jose, and dining out and vacationing with Lauren, Reggie and their family many times throughout each year. Jodie's legacy will live on forever and she will be remembered for her vivacious personality, beautiful smile and devotion to her daughters and grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Jodie's family on Monday, January 12th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Duksa Family Funeral Home at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington. Her funeral will begin on Tuesday, January 13th at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Holy Spirit, Newington. She will be laid to rest in West Meadow Cemetery.
