Jody Wayne Brazda

Jody W. Brazda, age 57, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025. He was born in Wharton, TX, on April 13, 1968, to Joe M. Brazda and Annie Mae Reisner Brazda.
Jody graduated from Brazos High School in 1986. After graduation, Jody started working at Waukesha-Pearce Industries. For the next 34 years, Jody worked at Frito-Lay Co. in Rosenberg, TX.
On November 27, 2004, Jody married the love of his life, Donna Kolacny Brazda. Together, they enjoyed 20 wonderful years. Jody was excited when Donna opened Twisted Willow in Sealy. He loved delivering the beautiful flowers Donna arranged for different orders. In his younger years, he enjoyed storage unit sales and estate sales. Jody enjoyed camping and fishing with family, doing crawfish boils, BBQs, and hanging out with family. Most of all, he loved his rottweilers and treated them like his kids.
Jody is survived by his wife, Donna; his mother, Annie Mae Brazda of Wallis, TX; and his brother, Andy, and wife, Christina, of Richmond, TX. His father and mother-in-law, Ervin and Carolyn Kolacny, two brothers-in-law, Dale and Devin, and a sister-in-law, Karen, all of Hallettsville, TX. Niece Layton Kolacny and nephews Dylon and Kolby Kolacny of Hallettsville, TX.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joe Brazda, his grandparents, and his sister-in-law, Delanie Kolacny.
Pallbearers are Dale, Devin, Dylon Kolacny, Clarence Jr., Adrian Brazda, Mike Webb, Gary Smolik and Brian Baranowski.
Honorary pallbearers are Layton Kolacny, Kolby Kolacny, Chris Montoya, Genaro, and the Third Shift Frito Lay Team.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to help cover the funeral expenses or to a charity of your choice.
